Looking at trends from the established markets, manufacturers are excelling the spend on e-commerce projects. According to the B2B E-commerce report, 79% of all manufacturers they will spend more on e-commerce than previously. This ads up to a massive 10% increase.
Electronic transactions are on the B2B environment. It has become a vital sales channel for manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers alike. Electronic transactions accounted for over 69% of manufacturers sales, and over 50% for Distributor and Wholesalers in 2018.
Although EDI systems largely account for transactions for manufacturers, all indications show that EDI’s share for electronic transactions will decline as B2B e-commerce becomes more popular due to the intuitiveness and scale-ability that e-commerce provides to companies.
